According to the PHO’s monitoring report, the latest COVID-19 case was a 75-year-old man from Barangay Poblacion in Infanta town, who passed away at the Region 1 Medical Center .
In an announcement made by Infanta Mayor Marvin Martinez Saturday, March 28, the victim was said to have had himself confined at R1MC on March 21. Martinez also underscored in his message to his constituents, since the patient did not have any travel history, he was advising them to stay indoors, while asking all those who may have contact with the deceased COVID-19 victim to go on self-quarantine.
The two other cases were that of the former provincial board member who passed away Thursday in a Metro Manila hospital, but whose confirmatory result was only released on Friday. The third case was of a Bugallon town resident who first complained of having sore throat. He also died Thursday, but his positive test result was only known Friday afternoon.
