SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Provincial Director P/Col. Jean Salvador-Fajardo announce a total lockdown to be implemented within the province starting Friday, March 27.

, Pampanga – Provincial Director P/Col. Jean Salvador-FajardoThis means that police force will be enforcing stricter measures to implement the guidelines set forth by the enhanced community quarantine.

According to Fajardo, they hope to control 80 percent of travel within Pampanga with 900 policemen deployed in all barangay control points, and all entry/exit points of the province. Fajardo also said they would be requesting for additional 100 personnel from the Regional Police Office. “We are determined to implement the lockdown to restrict movement. It is the best way to mitigate the spread of the virus,” Fajardo said during a digital press conference.

Fajardo said Governor Dennis Pineda was supporting the police in its proposal to impose a total lockdown in the province, which would ensure that residents would stay at home 24/7, with travel outside their abodes limited to essential chores.
