Five petroleum engineering students from Palawan State University will represent the Philippines in the Petrobowl World Championship 2021 which will be held later this year, the Department of Science and Technology has announced.

DOST Secretary Fortunato “Boy” T. de la Peña cited that one of the team members is Prince Belandres Panes, a science and technology undergraduate scholar. Other team members include Joshua Manginsay Guzman, Gwen Arianne Santillan Recoco, Mary Antonette Macariola, and Faye Molina. In a Facebook post, the PSU said it will be “the lone Philippine university” to compete in the event.
