Malacañang reminded the public that there will be a five-day break in April as the nation commemorates Holy Week and the Day of Valor or “Araw ng Kagitingan.” | DYGalvezINQ

In a Facebook post, the Official Gazette of the Philippines said April 6, 7, and 10 this year had been declared regular holidays under Proclamation No. 90 issued in 2022.Maundy Thursday and Good Friday fall on April 6 and 7, respectively. The celebration of the Day of Valor, or Araw ng Kagitingan, is on April 9. Since it falls on a Sunday this year, the government moved the regular holiday to Monday, April 10.

This means that the public may have their five-day break from April 6-10 since April 8 is Black Saturday, and April 9 is Easter Sunday.
