President Rodrigo Duterte will sign the proposed P5-trillion national budget for 2022 before the year ends, the Palace said Tuesday.

"The review process is still ongoing. The budget book is thick, and this [review] is part of the process. In a few days, the review process will be done and the President will immediately sign the budget," acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles said.

"We assure the public that the budget will be signed. The President will sign it before December 31," he added.the signing of the 2022 budget initially set for Tuesday.Apart from the 2022 national budget bill, Sotto said the signing of other measures, such as the bill creating the Department of Migrant Workers, was also rescheduled. —
