'The Duterte administration continues to respect the freedom of the speech and the freedom of the press in the country,” Roque said. | khallareINQ

MANILA, Philippines — A day after the Social Weather Stations released its latest poll results which showed that 51 percent of Filipinos think it’s dangerous to publish anything critical of the Duterte administration, Malacañang on Saturday said the current administration still respects free speech and freedom of the press.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque, in a statement, added that the ongoing House hearings surrounding ABS-CBN’s franchise application, which happened at the time the survey was being conducted, might have influenced the poll’s results.“Information and news dominating the traditional and social media are therefore about the congressional hearings on the broadcast franchise application of the network,” Roque said.

“Be that as it may, the Duterte Administration continues to respect the freedom of the speech and the freedom of the press in the country,” he added.

khallareINQ I mean, sure, as long as they're not s0eaking against you, right?

khallareINQ X doubt

khallareINQ Ofc. This admin supports the freedom of speech so much, they're weaponizing it. It's the only admin that has trolls as gov't employees

khallareINQ Mareklamo lang talaga kayo at sabay sensations ng media- paulit2 na broadcast ng issue at 'changing of headlines' to manipulate people's perspectives towards the government.

khallareINQ The President didn't even react or filed cases to all critics of harsh and libel comments. He shows how highly educated he is in diplomacy and governance. To those who are throwing harsh and anarchist- style comments, think about it and look at yourself how uneducated you are. 🙏🏻

khallareINQ sira na ba ulo mo Roque parang kapanipaniwala

khallareINQ LIESSSSS

khallareINQ We all know it's not true... malacañang is no longer taken seriously. Lol!

khallareINQ Except it's like a sale, applicable to selected items only.

khallareINQ Pero ingat lng kau... pag ako'y simunpong..... Paktay kau.... 😂😂😂😂😂

khallareINQ Kelan pa kayo may respeto..🤣🤣🤣

khallareINQ ULOL! 🖕🏾

khallareINQ Utot mo

khallareINQ Thats funny shit

Change is coming!!!

khallareINQ That’s BS Gago!

khallareINQ Walang totoo sa lahat ng sinasabi. Tulad ng buhok mo BAKLA!

khallareINQ Naloloka ako kay marse roque.

khallareINQ liftTotalHCWdeploymentban wala naman ata may nakikinig! Wala pa rin progress hanggang ngayon

khallareINQ 'respect the freedom of speech' daw

khallareINQ Talaga lang ha

khallareINQ Totoo naman di nyo lang maamin 😂

khallareINQ Weeeeeeeehhhh!!?

khallareINQ OK...

khallareINQ Joke ba to?

khallareINQ Reallllllyyyyyy?!?!

khallareINQ Galing niya talaga mga joke. Bentang benta.

khallareINQ what a joke

khallareINQ Charooot!

khallareINQ If this is true, Junk the terror bill and renew the franchise of ABS CBN..

khallareINQ Need we remind Harriet yung mga hinaharrass ni First Lady TanginaMoBongGo na small time citizens for expressing their opinions? Ang tawag sa mga yun sample. It is meant to send a message 'kahit small time kayo papatulan pa din namin kayo'. 🤔😠💩

khallareINQ Did he say which country?

khallareINQ Ha ha ha ha.... best punch line i’ve heard this week. Better than ro-ro saying “hindi alam ng Indonesia kung sinu-sino sa kanila ang may sakit” coz he was asked about Pinas being 1 in SEA pag dating sa dami ng cases. This guy should really stop drinking the Kool Aid.

Wala po akong nakikitang RESPECT eh..Respect is a word only sa inyo po.

khallareINQ

khallareINQ Kwento mo sa pagong

khallareINQ Leila De Lima, Maria Ressa, Trillanes, Abscbn, tagging frontliners revolutionists, etc. harassment’s to the highest degree attyharryroque

khallareINQ Joke of the day...

khallareINQ Stating it doesn’t make it real. Selecting who gets to enjoy such freedom pro-Duterte media) doesn’t cut it either. Freedom isn’t freedom unless it’s given to all, without discrimination. In the face of ample proof to the contrary (Ressa & ABS-CBN cases) this is a blatant lie!

khallareINQ Sure ka jan?
