Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in five local government units in the country.

The holidays were contained in separate proclamations signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority of President Marcos last month.

Proclamation No. 347 declared Oct. 5 a special non-working day in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur to allow residents to celebrate the town’s 139th founding anniversary.
