The first LPA is 470 kilometers east northeast of Catarman, Northern Samar, while the second LPA is 575 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan

PAGASA Senior Weather Specialist Chris Perez said the two LPAs only have a slim chance of developing into tropical cyclones, at least within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have isolated rain due to the southwest monsoon or from localized thunderstorms.An average of 20 tropical cyclones form within or enter PAR each year. Only around half of these make landfall. PAGASA gave the following estimates for the number of tropical cyclones inside PAR in the next 6 months:February 2021 - 0 or 1
