The same heavy rainfall outlook is also expected in Eastern Visayas and Caraga on Thursday, according to PAGASA.
“Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazard maps,” PAGASA said. “Persons living in areas identified to be highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instruction from local officials,” it added.
PAGASA advised concerned public and disaster risk reduction and management offices to take all necessary measures to protect life and property.
