THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said that the number of reported deaths due to Severe Tropical Storm 'Paeng' has reached 101, with 70 injured and 66 missing.According to its latest situation report, the NNDRRMC said the confirmed deaths were 73, 42 injured and 29 missing.
The NDRRMC report said that as of Monday night, 53 of the confirmed fatalities were from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, which experienced massive floods and landslides at the height of Paeng's onslaught last Saturday.A total of 618,817 families or 2,039,363 individuals were affected by the storm from 5,466 villages.The number of damaged houses is now at 4,863. Of the number, 4,105 were partially destroyed and 758, totally destroyed.
