Pacquiao to Robredo: 'Thank you for trusting me'

Senator Emmanuel ‘’Manny’’ D. Pacquiao on Monday, September 6, said he is thankful to Vice- President Leni Robredo for trusting him.Pacquiao issued this statement after Robredo was quoted as saying that she is open to supporting a “Moreno-Pacquiao” tandem if it would be enough to end President Duterte’s kind of governance.Pacquiao, however, has yet to confirm whether or not to run for the country’s highest elective post next year.

‘’Tulad ng nasabi ko ay pinag-iisipan ko pang mabuti kung alin sa tatlong option ang pinagpipilian ko: ang presidency, ang tumakbo bilang senador o ang tuluyan nang magretiro sa pulitika ,” he said in a statement. ‘’At kung sakali man na ako ay mag desisyon na tumakbo, sana ay masuportahan ninyo ang aking hangarin para sa kapayapaan at kaunlaran ng ating bansa ,’’ he stressed.

Pacquiao further said: ‘’Gusto kong makita sa kulungan ang mga magnanakaw sa ating pamahalaan na siyang dahilan ng paghihirap ng ating mga kababayan .”
