The Port of Cebu seized last Thursday, June 11, one container of suspected fake Mighty and Marvels brand cigarettes with an estimated street value of P76-million.

The shipment that arrived last Wednesday, June 10, from China was consigned to Giomab Trading and misdeclared it as “oval dish.

Customs Examiner Edy Neil D. Camalongay, together with representatives from the CIIS, Enforcement and Security Service, X-Ray Inspection Project, and the Philippine Coast Guard, during the conduct of physical examination on the shipment it was confirmed containing 1,522 master cases of smuggled cigarettes.
