LAW enforcers from the Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized P7.4 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu during controlled delivery operations in Malolos, Bulacan.The government operatives on Thursday said the package or parcel contained 1,092 grams of white crystalline substance which the sender from Laos declared it as water purifier.
The parcel was subjected to routine examination, including security x-ray scanning.Customs authorities later discovered the illegal substance inside the package and further laboratory testing revealed that the substance was confirmed to be shabu.According to BoC-NAIA officials, a team of government operatives operating at the NAIA, PDEA and other government agents arrested a claimant during operations on May 25, 2022.The suspect was turned over and currently detained at PDEA.
