Ayon kay Dr. Nick Santos ng City Veterinary Inspection Board, ligtas namang kainin ito ng tao, pero delikado kung makain ng baboy dahil magdudulot ito ng pagkalat ng African Swine Fever. "'Yun nga ang pinagtataka namin kung bakit nakakalusot yung importer ng mga ganitong product. Up to now, nahihirapan yung mga taga-LGU sa pag-kontrol, dahil ibinabagsak yung ganitong produkto," ani Santos.Patuloy naman ang imbestigasyon kung paano naipupuslit sa bansa ang baboy.
