Vice President Sara Duterte spent P125 million in confidential funds in the last 19 days of December 2022, an opposition

House Deputy Minority leader and ACT Teachers party-list Rep. France Castro cited documents from the Department of Budget and Management and the Office of the Vice President to show that the P125 million in confidential funds, released on Dec. 13, 2022, had already been spent by Dec. 31 of the same year.

“We are wondering how such a large amount of money was spent in such a short period of time,” Castro said in Filipino. “The seething disdain overwhelming France Castro these days is hardly concealed even by her capacity to string serious allegations against the Office of the Vice President over the 2022 confidential fund,” Duterte said in a statement.
