According to a "24 Oras" report on Friday, among the beneficiaries are students from Tuquib Integrated School Villaviciosa, Abra.
Due to the earthquake that struck the province last year, the students are still taking classes in makeshift classrooms made up of tarpaulins up to now. "Napakahirap, napakaingay minsan hindi na po naririnig 'yung mga sinasabi ng teacher," said Edilyn Paned, one of the students."Kayo po ma'am 'yung foundation na pinakaunang nakarating dito sa amin kahit ano pong anong hirap ng daan natin," said Jemalyn B. Bueta, one of the teachers.
Among provinces reached by the GMA Kapuso Foundation's Give a Gift Program are Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Quezon, Abra, Aurora, Isabela, Cagayan, Nueva Ecija, Mt. Province, Southern Leyte, Eastern Samar, Western Samar, Cebu, Bohol, Negros Occidental, and Negros Oriental. The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
