OCCIDENTAL Mindoro Consolidated Power Corp. (OMCPC) formally turned over the four makeshift classrooms and two units of complete solar systems to Taganop Elementary School on March 19, 2024.

OCCIDENTAL Mindoro Consolidated Power Corp. formally turned over the four makeshift classrooms and two units of complete solar systems to Taganop Elementary School on March 19, 2024.This was in response to the request for sponsorship by the teachers of the school, led by Gener Trabucon. This project was orchestrated by OMCPC Chief Operating Officer Calvin Luther Genotiva and supported by OMCPC President and Chief Executive Officer Luis Manuel Banson.

The school was so remote that it had no electricity and could be reached only after an 8-hour walk from Monteclaro.The existing classrooms of the said school were made from nipa and bamboo materials only.
