A total of 19,618 police officers, soldiers, coast guard personnel and other force multipliers are set to be deployed on Thursday, June 30, for the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the NCRPO said on Wednesday.

A total of 19,618 police officers, soldiers, coast guard personnel and other force multipliers are set to be deployed on Thursday, June 30, for the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the National Capital Region Police Office said on Wednesday.

NCRPO chief Police Major General Felipe Natividad said that a final simulation exercise has been conducted within the vicinity of the National Museum to ensure the security in the historic event. "The SIMEX aims to intensify operational readiness and capabilities of Police forces, military troops and members of the Philippine Coast Guard in handling the public safety and security operations for the national historic event," Natividad said in a statement."Let teamwork be our overall strength where everyone works and functions towards a common vision – a successful, historical Inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand "Bong-Bong" Marcos Jr.," he added.

The PNP has designated Plaza Miranda, Plaza Dilao, and the Liwasang Bonifacio where groups can hold protest actions during the inauguration. It said that protesters who will become unruly during the inauguration will be arrested. The burning of effigy is only allowed within the freedom parks and prohibited at the venue of the inauguration, the police said.
