More than a hundred teachers in Navotas City received cash and computers from the city government Friday in time for the Navotas Teachers’ Day
Around 123 “master teachers” received laptop computers while 24 public school teachers got one desktop unit each. Aside from computers, the teachers also received around P200,000 worth of cash prizes. Some 150 teachers won P500 each, 50 teachers got P1,000 each, 20 teachers received P2,000 each, five teachers won P3,000 each, and one teacher got P10,000.
Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco thanked the teachers for their service, especially as both students and teachers grapple with the new blended distant learning set-up amid the coronavirus disease crisis.
