“When we entered the court, felt like a similar feeling of playing [the] same match against her. But I made sure I changed seats this time. I went for the other seat that she won [from] last year,” Jabeur said. “Maybe it’s the seat that made me win today.” “Last year maybe I wasn’t ready to play this kind of match,” Jabeur said. “I don’t regret last year. It happened for a reason. I always say it. It was meant to be this year. It was meant to be in the quarterfinals.”

“Some moments I play really well, but was not consistent,” Rybakina said of Wednesday’s match. “Since physically [I] was not the greatest, then the wrong decisions came.” Sabalenka reached the Wimbledon semifinals for the second straight time, with a one-year break in between because she was banned from the tournament in 2022 along with other players from her country and from Russia because of the war in Ukraine.
