Mayroon nang kaso ng COVID-19 omicron variant sa Pilipinas. Ang isa ay Pilipino na umuwi mula sa Japan, habang ang isa naman ay Nigerian national na galing ng Nigeria. Pareho silang asymptomatic at naka-isolate na.

Ayon sa WHO, mas nakahahawa kumpara sa delta variant ang omicron variant.
