The One Hospital Command Center said Friday, Oct. 22, that it continues to observe a decline in the number of requests for medical facilities recently, amid the decline of infections in Metro Manila.Dr. Marylaine Padlan, a medical officer from the OHCC, said the average number of requests that the government’s hospital referral system received over the past week stood at around 150 to 300 per day, lower than the 200 to 300 daily requests reported previously.
“Iyong mga request noong na nari-received namin sa nakaraang linggo, lumawak iyong range nung mga numbers per day na nare-receive namin, naglaro na siya around 150 to 300 requests per day ,” Padlan said.In a public briefing, the medical officer said majority of the requests were inquiries for available hospitals and medical facilities, adding that most of the calls still came from clients in the National Capital Region .
Meanwhile, Padlan said that the OHCC also accommodates requests that are non-COVID related, noting that the center now receives more non-COVID related calls. “Usually mga emergencies na nakukuha namin ay includes iyong mga manganganak na wala naman respiratory symptoms or wala COVID symptom ,” she said.
