Ogie Alcasid donates collections to fundraiser aiming to purchase COVID19 test kits

MANILA – Ogie Alcasid is letting go of his toy collections to help Angel Locsin’s fundraiser to produce test kits for the new coronavirus disease .

The singer said he will donate it to Locsin’s advocacy “so someone else may take care of them and at the same time people will be tested for COVID.” The initiative was first done in 2009 in response to the Ondoy calamity. At the time, proceeds from auctioned designer bags, jewelry, and clothes, among others, were given to the Philippine Red Cross.

The goal: to "allow testing opportunities for the poorer sectors in the hopes of helping out in the efforts to provide mass testing in the country."
