Office of Civil Defense in Bicol ‘100 percent’ prepared for TisoyPH

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The top official of the Office of the Civil Defense -Bicol has assured the public that the agency is 100 percent prepared for typhoon Tisoy that might hit Bicol region early Tuesday morning.OCD-Bicol director Claudio Yucot told the Manila Bulletin that they have assets ready in vulnerable areas while rescue and work teams are on standby.

He said that aside from pre-positioned assets in all provincial disaster risk reduction offices , OCD also has standby teams available to be deployed in case events take a turn for the worse. “Nag set-up na rin kami dito ng communication center sa pamagitan ng Philippine Army at PNP just in case bumagsak ang mga antenna ng telcos. Yung mga units ng AFP at PNP sa provinces katuwang natin sa communications natin sa localities,” he said.
