The OCTA Research Group on Tuesday, Aug. 16 said that Metro Manila’s Covid-19 daily positivity rate has been “trending downward” since the first week of August.

“The seven-day positivity rate in the NCR was 16.1 percent as of August 14, down from 17.3 percent as of August 7,” OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David said in an update on Twitter.

The World Health Organization has recommended that the Covid-19 positivity rate should remain at 5 percent or lower.
