The public should heed the rules imposed by the government on motorcycle ride sharing which has recently been allowed, a police official disclosed on Friday.Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar, commander of the Joint Task Force on coronavirus disease Shield , maintained acts of defiance relating to the same would only result in unnecessary confrontation that could affect traffic at quarantine control points .
“We appeal to the public not to make any further alibi to justify any violation of these rules, otherwise, it will only result in their inconvenience,” he added. Among other requirements, motorcycle backriding is allowed only for married, live-in and same sex couples who could present proof they are living in the same house as provided by their respective barangays.
