According to PAGASA Weather Specialist Raymond Ordinario, the higher temperatures being felt could be due to less clouds and moisture coming from the Pacific Ocean.

“Kapag sobrang cloudless, halos walang kaulapan, ‘yung init ng araw nararamdaman natin, then kapag may kaunting pumapasok na moisture galing dito sa Pacific Ocean kaya medyo maalinsangan,” he said in a report by Katrina Son on GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend.”

Latest data from PAGASA show that the hottest temperature in Quezon City was recorded at 31.9 degrees Celsius at 12 p.m. on Sunday, while the coldest was 25.6 degrees Celsius at 5:30 a.m.“Possible na mid-March pa totally titigil ‘yung Amihan, then dahan-dahan na magsisimula nang uminit,” Ordinario said.

“Most probably second to third week of March pa natin inaasahan na magsimula ulit uminit ‘yung madaling araw,” he added.
