With just a few weeks before the elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday, April 23, said there will be no electricity problem in the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi (BaSulTa) on Election Day, May 9.

With just a few weeks before the elections, the Commission on Elections on Saturday, April 23, said there will be no electricity problem in the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi on Election Day, May 9.In an ambush interview after the signing of the Integrity Pledge in Basilan, Comelec Commissioner George Erwin M. Garcia told the media that the supply of electricity in BaSulTa from the first week of May until the third week will be more than enough.

“Base sa pinaka latest update niya sa akin last week, wala tayong magiging problema dito sa BaSulTa. Medyo magkakaroon lang tayo ng problema na maliit sa may bandang Lanao area ,” Garcia told reporters. Meanwhile, Garcia said the current rotational brownouts being experienced are being done to have enough electricity for the upcoming polls in BaSulTa.Connectivity in BaSulTa
