THE heads of the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines quashed rumors of a destabilization plot that circulated online over the weekend.'I don't think there is one,' PNP chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said.Azurin added that he had talked with AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Andres Centino who assured him that there was no such plot.

Azurin said that the Winner B150 helicopter at Camp Crame shown in photos that went viral on social media was undergoing maintenance checkup.The PNP chief directed the police regional office in Cordillera to look into the release of a supposed memorandum placing all PNP units under heightened alert status.A copy of the memorandum supposedly signed by Lt. Col. Dexter Ominga was circulated on social media last week.
