President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is not setting any deadline on his order for NBI and DOJ to launch an investigation into the reported smuggling of onions and other agricultural products. | JMangaluzINQ

“So, let them do their investigation. Wala namang partikular. Ang pinag-usapan, ang naging basehan, yung naging problema na maliwanag na nagho-hoarding,” he added.“Ang utos ko sa DOJ at sa NBI ay kailangan malaman ninyo na hindi lamang sa sibuyas, kung hindi sa ating mga sindikato,” he stressed.

“Marami talagang sindikato na nag-ooperate pa, para habulin na natin. Matigil ang kanilang mga ginagawa,” he said.The President explained the implication of letting smugglers control the supply of food in the market. “Hindi natin basta’t pabayaan ito dahil may ginugutom na Pilipino. May namamatay from starvation and poverty na Pilipino dahil sa kanilang ginagawa, at hindi maaaring matuloy ang kanilang ginagawa,” said the President.
