The number of new voters has increased to 1.1 million exactly nine days before the voter registration for the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections ends, Commission on Elections chairman George Garcia said Sunday.started on December 12, 2022Of this number, around 7,000 voter registration applications were processed under Comelec’s Register Anywhere Project , which allows qualified Filipino voters to register at booths in certain establishments such as malls.
“Madami sa kanila ‘yung nagpalipat na ng registration abroad sa pag-aakalang sila ay makakaalis bago ang eleksyon. Pero dumating ang eleksyon, hindi pa sila nakakaalis. ‘Pag gano'n, hindi sila nakakaboto.
