After 3 consecutive days of Covid-19 cases increasing by around 1,000 daily, DOH reported only 52 fresh cases and 242 late cases because of a temporary adjustment in data collection. Data collected only over 19 hours instead of the usual 24 hours. Read

ONLY 52 fresh cases and 242 late cases of coronavirus infection were reported Thursday, July 2, 2020, as the Department of Health temporarily shortened the data collection period.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire also reported that 235 patients have recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 10,673.Of the 52 fresh cases, 10 were from the National Capital Region , 25 from other regions and 17 repatriates.Fresh cases are those with test results that came out in the last three days while late cases are those that were released more than three days ago but were validated only in the last 24 hours.
