New British ambassador-designate to PH is a lady and she speaks Tagalog

Beaufils also spoke about the many common interests between the UK and the Philippines as well as the opportunities for collaboration in various areas such as health, education, climate change, trade, human rights, and security, among others. “Inaasahan kong makipagtulungan sa inyong lahat. Kaya’t tara na PIlipinas! Maraming Salamat po,” Ambassador Beaufils said in ending her message.

Prior to officially assuming her diplomatic stint in the Philippines, Beaufils is expected to present her letter of credentials to President Duterte in Malacañang soon.Her appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Philippines and as non-resident ambassador to Palau was first announced in April this year. She is replacing Ambassador Daniel Pruce whose term in the Philippines ended early this month.
