The national government has provided a total of P205,026,325 worth of assistance to victims of typhoon “Odette,” the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported Monday, Jan. 3.

The national government has provided a total of P205,026,325 worth of assistance to victims of typhoon “Odette,” the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported Monday, Jan. 3.

In its latest situational report, NDRRMC Executive Director Ricardo Jalad said the government aid were provided to the seven hardest hit regions namely Mimaropa , Western Visayas , Central Visayas , Eastern Visayas , Northern Mindanao , Davao , and Caraga . Some P20.74 million worth of financial assistance and P20,000 worth of burial assistance were also handed out to the affected families.

Also distributed were face masks, hygiene kits, malongs, mats, blankets, megaphones, generator sets, assorted medicines, heavy duty cot beds, trauma kits, first aid kits, breastfeeding kits,personal protective equipment sets, cadaver bags, sleeping kits, and bottled waters among others.
