University of Perpetual Help head coach Macky Carino is still searching for the same Lady Altas that played in the championship series last year.
The Lady Altas bounced back from an opening day defeat after beating San Sebastian College, 29-31, 25-13, 25-20, 25-20, on Saturday in the NCAA Season 95 women’s volleyball competition at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan. The Lady Altas, who bowed down to College of St. Benilde in their opener, rallied in the fourth frame from 12-18 behind with Bianca Tripoli exploding on offense as she capped her outing with back-to-back hits to seal the victory.
Tripoli finished with game-high 17 points including 15 off hits while Jhona Rosal had 14 markers and 20 digs for the Las Pinas-based squad. Dana Persa scored 11 points while Jenny Gaviola and Charina Scott combined for 15 points for Perpetual.
