NBI arrests 16 persons, rescues 3 illegally detained mother, child

NBI Officer-In-Charge Director Eric Distor identified those arrested as Arsenio Bonifacio, Amador Domingo, Noel Bernardino, Roberto Sanchez, Felixberto Rivera, Ana Marie Reyes, Jane Iris Banguhan, Rolando Ramos Jr., Sidney Catacutan, Sahid Sainduin, Jovanie Porazo, Rommel Logrono, Reginald Kosca, Garry Amante, Warren Mateo, and Emie Patolero.

During the operation, NBI agents also rescued Camille Bonifacio, her live-in-partner Mark Jason Magbanua, and their six-year-old son. The NBI said it acted on the complaint of Bonifacio’s and Magbanua’s relatives who managed to escape but had to return to the compound for fear of the safety of his family.

“According to Magbanua, who escaped from the compound on August 20, 2020 and filed a complaint before the NBI together with the siblings of Camille, they were threatened by the subjects that they will be shot mercilessly if they tried to escape,” the NBI said.
