The National Anti-Poverty Commission has briefed the local government units in Southern Leyte on the salient provisions of Republic Act No. 11291, also known as the “Magna Carta of the Poor.”

Headed by NAPC-Grassroots Development Operations Unit Visayas Favian Magallanes, the activity aims to educate the participants about the provisions of RA 11291. In a statement, NAPC noted that the activity sought to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the LGUs and basic sectors of the provinces about the salient provisions of RA 11291 and its implementing rules and regulations.
