Senator Nancy Binay on Thursday said she is considering a run for Makati City mayor in the 2025 national and local elections, and addressed the possibility that she might go up against her brother-in-law if she does so."At the moment...'yung future plans, ang trajectory niya talagang papunta sa Makati. Siguro ngayon, baka 70-30 kasi siyempre nga palapit na nang palapit," Binay, a graduating senator, said in an interview with reporters.
Regardless of their ties, Binay said the main consideration is to continue the legacy of her father Jejomar Binay, who served as Makati City mayor for several terms before becoming the country's vice president."At the end of the day, legacy ng ama ko ang kailangan naming i-continue. Kung anong serbisyong Binay na naumpisahan ng akin ama, 'yun ang kailangan na mapagpapatuloy.
