Police said the victim had just attended a cockfight and was driving a motorcycle on his way home when he was attacked by motorcycle-riding gunmen.
The victim was taken to the Francisco Dagohoy Municipal Hospital in Inabanga, Bohol where attending doctors declared him dead. Police said investigation is ongoing to determine the motive of the attack and identify the perpetrators.“It is with a heavy heart and profound sorrow that I condemn the tragic and senseless shooting that claimed the life of Councilor Danilo Añora. It is with great sadness that I inform you of this devastating incident that has left our community in shock and mourning,” said Duallo in a statement.
“Justice will be pursued, and those responsible for this heinous act will be held accountable. During these difficult times, let us come together as one Buenavista community, offering our support and condolences to Councilor Anora’s family,” added Duallos, who is also the president of the League of the Municipalities of Philippines-Bohol chapter.
