Metro railway lines will scale down their operations starting Monday, as their personnel continue to undergo COVID-19 testing, the DOTrPH says

The DOTr said the MRT-3 has recorded 107 COVID-19 cases so far among its personnel, while the LRT-1 and LRT-2 reported 94 and 136 infected employees, respectively.

“Para po dito sa ating extended ECQ ay papanatilihin po natin yung 20-30% na capacity ng ating tren...Ang mag-iiba lang po 'yung mga bilang ng mga tren na ilalabas po natin dahil iaakma po natin yan sa mga bilang ng mga available na personnel,” he said during a virtual press conference on Sunday. He noted that 350 augmenting buses will be running on the EDSA Carousel route for affected MRT-3 passengers.
