“Ako ang unang nakapag-uwi ng international title sa lugar namin. Sana huwag silang sumuko sa mga pangarap nila at mag-aral din silang mabuti. Kung nakaya kong manalo sa pageant, kaya rin nilang makuha ito,” said Monisit, during an interview recently.
“Noong umuwi ako sa amin, konti na lamang ang mga batchmates ko na nag-aaral. Halos lahat nakapag-asawa na at may pamilya na,” he said. “Hindi naman sa ayaw ko silang magkapamilya pero sana tinaguyod muna nila ang mga pangarap nila. Parang naging ganun na ang kultura sa amin na pagdating ng 18 or 19, dapat mag-aasawa na. Yung iba may anak na rin.”Monisit told his friends in the province to try pageantry and modelling, which he said will open wonderful opportunities.
