Over eight million children have been vaccinated against measles and polio, the DOH disclosed nearly a month after it launched its nationwide immunization drive against highly transmissive but preventable infectious diseases. ManilaBulletin READ:

DOH-6 Director Adriano Suba-an assists in administering the oral polio vaccine to a toddler in Numancia town, Aklan province.

The tally of children who were immunized against polio, on the other hand, has climbed to 2,024,747 or at least 62.72 of the DOH’s target. DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire earlier urged Filipino parents and legal guardians to have their children inoculated against the aforementioned infectious diseases.
