OVER two million Filipinos spent 75,305 hours — equivalent to nine years — using digital lending applications last year, a report from consumer credit service Digido said.This means that one in every 30 adult Filipinos access the services of the ten digital lending platforms at least once a month.

Based on its analysis, Digiton said that digital lending platforms operating in the Philippines that have applications for iOS or Google Play had a combined total download of 14.2 million as of December 2022, representing 3.4% of the total downloads from Finance categories across all devices and all platforms.This is 35.2% higher than the 3.7 million downloads in 2021.It said that 2.
