More developments are expected at the Cebu Cordova-Link Expressway (CCLEX) a year after it was opened to the public. ManilaBulletin

Allan Alfon, president and general manager of Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway Corp. , said that aside from a food park that is already available at the toll way complex, a mini-shopping mall will also soon rise in the area.

“The board has allowed us to construct a bigger, permanent structure. It will provide not just food but some sort of shopping, sort of a food mall where you can have choices of food,” said Alfon. “There is also a resto bar that we are pushing. A resto bar for us to de-stress, relax, chill at night together with the migratory birds, sea breeze, the view of the city and of course the sunset,” added Alfon.

The Cebu-Cordova Link Corp. , according to Alfon, has also completed its solar farm as part of the company’s efforts toward sustainability.CCLEC is also eyeing to open its pedestrian and bike lanes in May this year. “The use of these lanes is free,” said Alfon. CCLEC is also closely working with the Cebu City government for the CCLEX Guadalupe Ramps to open additional access to CCLEX at the center of Cebu City to V. Rama Ave.It is a development project lobbied and initiated by the city government to support the Guadalupe River Development Program.Alfon said there are at least 100,000 accounts of RFID and 30 percent of them are active users.
