Molnupiravir importer to 'explore possibility' of producing anti-COVID-19 drug locally

The Philippines' first local importer of molnupiravir has its eyes on manufacturing the oral anti-COVID-19 drug in the country.

Asked when domestic production could begin, Salian said the ball is in the American drugmaker's court. Merck announced on Thursday it is signing a deal with Medicines Patent Pool to allow affordable access to the drug across the globe.
