MANILA, Philippines — World Juniors Championships semifinalist Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh made it to the girls' 100m butterfly finals of the 13th ASEAN Schools Games swimming competitions on Tuesday in Da Nang, Vietnam.The Brent International School-Manila standout submitted one minute and 4.73 seconds to secure her spot in the eight-swimmer finals.
Mojdeh will have her hands full against preliminary round topnotchers Loe Hajaru and Kertsriphan Thitiphon — both from Thailand — who identically registered one minute and 3.57 seconds.Joining them in the finals are Nurma Bliqish and Kartina Lilly Beales of Indonesia, Hien Nguyen Thuy of Vietnam, and Kai Cheng Morgan of Malaysia.The finals is scheduled Tuesday night.On Wednesday, Mojdeh will be gunning for medals in two more individual events — the 200m Individual Medley and the 200m butterfly.
