Defining the News

Seated from left to right are Golden Arches Development Corporation vice president for Human Capital Group Ruben Marasigan; GADC managing director Margot Torres; Mapúa Malayan Digital College president Dodjie Maestrecampo; and MMDC executive director Dennis Tablante.

GADC’s partnership MMDC aims to provide educational assistance to its store managers in NCR and eventually to more employees in other regions. The program offers partial scholarships from MMDC to non-graduate McDonald’s employees. MMDC will shoulder the tuition fees for the first 45 units, while the remaining tuition and miscellaneous fees will be shared by McDonald’s and the scholarship recipients.

These initiatives by MMDC highlight Mapúa’s near-century-long legacy of supporting working students. MMDC believes its digital-first education is the key to supporting working students by providing more flexibility and affordability. With the new McDonald’s partnership and the support of iPeople, the publicly listed Yuchengco-Ayala partnership, MMDC continues supporting working students and leveraging its network to serve the country’s educational needs.
