MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said some roads will be closed in Manila to give way to the celebration of the country's 126th Independence Day on June 12.

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said some roads will be closed in Manila to give way to the celebration of the country's 126th Independence Day on June 12.From 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., the following roads will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic: Roxas Blvd – from TM Kalaw to P. Burgos; and from Ma. Orosa to Roxas Blvd. westbound.Meanwhile, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., the following roads will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic: Roxas Blvd.

The MMDA advised truckers, drivers, and motorists to take the identified alternate routes during the duration of the closure.It said PUVs and private vehicles going north can take Roxas Blvd then right turn to Quirino Ave. or U.N. Ave. then left turn to Taft Ave. to destination.Private vehicles from R-10 going to Anda Circle can turn left to Soriano Ave., turn right to Solana St., left to Muralla St., then straight to Magallanes Drive, turn right to P. Burgos Ave. to destination.
