The pilot implementation of the single ticketing system for traffic violations committed in the National Capital Region (NCR) will begin on Tuesday, May 12, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Monday.

MMDA spokesperson Melissa Carunungan said they will first test the system in select areas to determine any lapses or adjustments before it is launched region-wide or nationwide.

The participating local government units are Manila City, Quezon City, Parañaque City, Muntinlupa City, Caloocan City, Valenzuela City, and San Juan City. “Ito ay magiging malaking ginhawa para sa mga motorista dahil sa loob ng single ticketing system, ang top 20 most common traffic violations ay may pare-parehong multa, contesting procedures, at digital payment platforms kagaya ng GCash, Maya, at Landbank,” Carunungan said.

The Metro Manila Traffic Code of 2023, which will serve as the guideline for the system, includes penalties for the following traffic violations:
