Artes believed that camaraderie played an important role during discussions in the Metro Manila Council . For him, the COVID-19 pandemic brought local officials together. The MMC is the governing body of the MMDA.

Metro Manila mayors recently agreed to suspend the confiscation of traffic violators’ driver’s licenses to allow the Land Transportation Office finalize rules on its proposed single traffic ticket system in the capital region.

The local chief executives likewise agreed in principle to interconnect their databases to that of the LTO’s as part of the scheme.Earlier, the LTO gave a similar timeline in the possible implementation of the single traffic ticket system.
